About this product

Product Information

It was a time of crisis, a time of war and social revolt. And it marked the end of an era of innocence for the group of friends who found themselves in the eye of the storm that was the 60's: Vietnam, Haight-Ashbury and the campus peace movement. A time when becoming an adult meant laughing, crying and savoring old friendships.

    American Graffiti Conclussion

If you enjoyed American Graffiti and every wondered how the characters ended up, then More American Graffiti pretty much answers that for all the individual characters except for the Richard Dreyfus character. It's set on 12/31 of 1964 through 1967 for individual characters. The stories are all fairly entertaining with only the Terry "The Toad" Fields (1965) one being a bit disappointing. The John Milner one is the most interesting one (1964) with some excellent Fremont Raceway footage and vintage drag racing. The Debbie (1966) storyline has some really cool scenes of San Francisco Haight-Ashbury district with some cool performances at clubs and the hippie scene with a surprising ending. And the Steve and Laurie storyline (1967) go more or less how you would expect an insurance agent and wife’s story should go if they were placed in a difficult situation. There are also some really young looking major actor performances to see. Ultimately, it’s nowhere near as good as American Graffiti, but it’s still an entertaining and interesting watch.

    Disappointed

This movie doesn't even come close to entertaining! After looking forward to following the original characters from the first movie, it was bitterly disappointing! The filmography was horrible, the story was beyond bland, the characters lives weren't believable and most of the acting was so bad it made the actors look pathetic. The script was terrible and most of the movie was played in small boxes and not even full or wide screen. Don't wast your money on it!

  • Underrated

Really great film that a lot of people often want to or just plainly forget. I found it very entertaining and I feel like it’s a really good follow up to American Graffiti. Many people hate this movie because it’s not like it’s predecessor and they are correct. But what good would this movie be if it was an exact replica of the first movie? Just looking at how bad the Hungover trilogy did because it basically followed the exact same formula for three movies goes to show that it isn’t right to repeat old storylines. Overall it’s a very underrated film and while it does have its cringeworthy moments, it makes up with visuals and the acting.

  • ok; has shifting timelines

I enjoyed the movie, but it has a lot of flash forwards and back again. It starts around 1964 but there are some scenes dating from 1968 and then goes back. For me, a steady timeline is easier to follow.

  • Good movie!!! not as good as the original but still a good movie. Goes more into the background of things after the first movie

  • Good film but not shot like most

It was a good movie in its day feels a bit dated where the original is a true classic.

  • Nowhere as good as the first

Although the same characters were present, the sequel lacked the essence and comedy of the original. I had trouble hanging in to the end of the movie.
