Released in 2000, Super Hits covers some better-known tracks from the talented and influential Luther Vandross. By the time of this release, he had left the label on bad terms and in turn Sony seemed to begin to offer low-budgeted items for the hell of it. Super Hits is that personified. This being Luther Vandross, there are indeed some great songs here. "Never Too Much" and "Til' My Baby Comes Home" find him at his most accessible. 1991's "Power of Love/Love Power" is only a cut below the standard. With its indiscriminate selections, Super Hits does get two of Vandross' better, underrated ballads. "Sometimes It's Love" and "Don't Want to Be a Fool" -- both have the great and forlorn production and vocals some might prefer to his more pop moments. Missing a few, but still a great. This album would get higher marks if it would play in my car. It does have a slight clicking noise during play but plays well on the home DVD. Overall I enjoy the songs but I wouldn't call them My super hits
There are may be somes that I'm not crazy about, but the remainder of the cd I've heards the songs before. Love this CD. Would highly recommend purchasing this.
