An extension of both the film and book versions of STARSHIP TROOPERS, this brilliantly rendered CGI series follows the adventures of new Space Marine recruit Johnny Rico, a member of an elite killing squadron known as Razak's Roughnecks. The Roughnecks are holding the line against a spacefaring alien-insect menace intent on destroying Earth. In this episode, Rico and his fellow squad members face an unforeseen horror when Lieutenant Zander catches a bug virus which transforms him into a powerful half human/half bug enemy.

Continuation of the saga
This disc picks up after the zephyr campaign and starts off with an interesting twist that engages you until the end. This series has entertained me as a kid, without the campy horror of the live action movies, whilst providing a proper plot, and interesting characters.
