    Must see TV. Like his previous work about the civil war, our national parks and baseball, Jazz covers the span of the 20th century

    I am a Ken Burns fan. His documentary about Jazz is also about America and the struggles and triumphs of it's people. This a sweeping epic view basically of the 20th century. It has given me a new appreciation of Jazz music and filled in gaps for me about different iconic musicians and why their music spoke to what was going on in daily life at the time.
