The film stars Phobe Cates, Scott Coffey, Bridget Fonda, and Annabeth Gish as they travel through the American south to Myrtle Beach for one final wild summer before they all grow up and go their separate ways. Shag, The Movie came out on DVD in 2001 from MGM Entertainment and has a rating of PG. The DVD has a run time of one hour and 38 minutes as well as a few special features such as the original theatrical trailer.

Catchy, like the lead song!
I found the movie of excellent quality. The music was great and the story very entertaining. It reminded me of the TV version I viewed several years ago.
