About this product

Product Information

Arguably the most influential jazz musician ever, Miles Davis' music in the 1980s seldom matched the brilliance he so regularly achieved for almost four decades, from the 1940s through the 1970s. However, despite some poor choices of material, Miles' live performances in the last decade of his life were always electrifying. This performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival captures Miles in excellent form, mixing his 1980s material with older classics from IN A SILENT WAY and other albums.

Miles is a one of a kid. really cool to see him do his thing. I got about 20 of his albums so I wanted to see him play. Maybe not his best years but still good and entertaining. I am a fan of any era but if you want his best this isn't the one. Spring for the more expensive earlier era if you can. If you want a look at the master and don't like to spend too much, get this one. the price is right.
