Released in 1997, The Little Drummer Boy is the first Jars of Clay EP released after the band's self-titled debut album. It contains four tracks: Two versions of a christmas song (The Little Drummer Boy, The Little Drummer Boy (Grinch Mix)), a remix of one of their hits from their self-titled album (Blind (Fluffy Sav Mix)), and the instrumental "Wicker Baskets" track. Dan Haseltine, the band's lead singer, described the beauty of The Little Drummer Boy as a representation of human sacrifice. Jars of Clay is reminded of a little boy who's only talent in the world was to play a drum. The boy used this talent to the best of his ability in order to honor our Lord Jesus Christ. Overall, the strings used in this EP are astounding. It is an album that can certainly be used during the Christmas season or during a period of self-reflection. Grab your copy today!Read full review
