Very good movie. Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) is a highly motivated stockbroker who has aspirations of playing with the "big dogs". His target is Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas), a "Whale" superbroker who specializes in corporate takeovers. Insider trading, bribing people for information; nothing is taboo! Whatever it takes is the game, and the profits are huge. With his foot inside the door Bud starts to taste the benefits of success, and with advice from Gekko he is now riding high. Pushed to constantly break the law, Bud uses information leaked to him by his dad, chief mechanic for Blue Star Airlines, to manipulate stock prices. Bud becomes an overnight success and makes a lot of money. All of a sudden Blue Star is about to be taken over and broken up for profit. Gekko promised Bud that he wouldn't do that, but when he begins to do so, Bud tells his father about Gekko's plans and makes a deal with the workers union to protect the airline and the workers. The problem is, he must take the fall for what he has done. In the process, Gekko gets nailed and goes to prison. This is a great movie, and is a really good set=up for the sequel, "- Money Never Sleeps". It just took too long coming out.Read full review
