Well, First of all , the movie sports an all star cast, Mel Gibson as a foreign journalist tracking down a story about a attempted coupe that is been rumored to take place. Sigorney Weaver, as a rich well to do , Linda Hunt as a man. Mel ,Guy Hamilton is a reporter' in Indonesia in 1965 at first, he isn't interested in doing any leg research at all. He is satisfied with what Billy played wonderfully by Linda Hunt feeds him about the current events that are taking place in Idonesia. Later on in the movie when Guy finds Billy's file on him does he begin then to open his eyes & ask him why he has files on everybody that Billy knows and hangs around with. When Guy , confronts him about this shocking but, sad truth Billy gets up set that Guy, is prying into matters that Billy feels are none of his business. Guy , later learns that he has files on Jill, Guys, new love interest & all of the journalists. At the end Billy's eyes are opened as she hangs a banner & teels the new leader Your People are starving! Feed Your People Now! Very atmospheric, a very Asian feel to the film. The star is Linda Hunt, although both Gibson & Weaver put up excellent performances.
