I bought this DVD because I am an avid fan of Angelina Jolie. She plays yet again a rebelious, strong-willed, dysfuntional teenage girl. She leads a group of girls into letting go, finding themselves and learning to stick up for themselves and each other. Comparable to the film Stand By Me, though Foxfire is a young female bonding adventure rather than young male bonding adventure. The storyline and side characters are not spectacular, but are acceptable. Both men and women I know enjoy this movie. There is partial nudity, but it is tasteful. It is a movie that one can watch easily and enjoy. It may also encourage us to reflect on our own memories and current lives. An Angelina fan will not be dissapointed, and fans of young friends and bonding/growing up adventures will also appreciate Foxfire.Read full review
This is a movie im not sure how to describe. I dont really know if I like it or not. I can say I like the plot, but unsure if I like the acting or how that plot was protrayed. This movie has Angelina Jolie in it featuring as a rebel that comes to town and teaches four high schoolers how to stand up for themselves against a sexuallyabusive teacher. This gets them all into trouble and gets them all suspended. Before this incident not one of them hung out with eachother. Now they are like the best of freinds. This action basically gives them the freedom all of them are yearning for. They find an abandoned house and make it there little home away from home. They help eachother solve their home problems and help eachother grow into strong women. The jocks of the high school dont like this freedom the girls have mainly because it was there coach that they had beaten up. So they try to make the girls livesbasically a living hell. This is where the girls show how strong they really are. They stand up for themselves. There is a bunch of other things that happen and then Angelina Jolie basically takes off on them. This movie isnt a bad one to have in a personal collection, but I guess you would want to watch it if you like all the woman power movies. (which I am not knocking).Read full review

I bought Foxfire because I am a fan of Angelina Jolie and I am collecting as much of her movies as possible I recently bought Gia as well. FOxfire is a powerful youth movie telling the story of a girl from a broken home and her journey. She encounters a group of kids in a small town and befriend them and teach them to stand up for themselves, each other and what they believe in. Her passion makes her do things by heart rather than mind and brings the usual problems of passionate decisions. A well told story that I could not find much wrong with - An enjoyable purchase! A young Angelina shows that wild side and passion that has become her trademark.
The quality of the dvd was very good. The movie had talented actors and thevstoryline was engaging.
