The Anglo-Saxon Epic Updated
This dystopian-future take on "Beowulf" is surprisingly entertaining -- always stipulating that a viewer requires massive suspension of disbelief. Christopher Lambert is considerably older than in his "Highlander" debut, but he fits the role well. Additionally, the film features at least two beautiful women, both in various states of undress, so a Parental Warning is in order. Not incidentally, the movie's Grendel is absolutely perfect, the best representation of the original "Beowulf" monster in any film I've seen.
