Pop Art Masterpiece
Early work from acclaimed pinku eiga director Yasuharu Hasebe, this one obviously influenced by "Tokyo Drifter" from a few years before. "Black Tight Killers" is a visually stunning film noir, featuring wall to wall avant gard visuals, and hallucinegic sets and colors. The DVD features a very nice wide-screen transfer, and includes an original trailer as well as an interview with legendary director Hasebe. Already selling for $50 and up, this one is already a collectors item. This is an earlier title in the pinku eiga genre, so don't expect nudity and graphic sex in a film from 1966... but what it lacks in shock value, it makes up for that with sheer artistic genius..
