Fun summer movie
A cute movie which evokes the nostalgia of youth of another era. Well-acted by 80's "it" girl Phoebe Cates, Bridget Fonda is also good as the preacher's wild daughter, and I love Page Hannah, whom I prefer to her sister, Darryl Hannah. I don't know why she didn't become a bigger star. Just a nice teen movie reminiscent of American Graffiti. It's sort of a Southern version of that, as it's set at around the same time, the early '60's. Love the clothes, hairdo's, music and the dance, The Shag, which gave this movie its title.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
