Gregory Peck has such a "presence" and commanding voice, I want to view everything he did. I missed this years ago. Also really like David Niven, who so underplays his roles but commands attention. Enjoy Roger Moore too, also underplays eloquently. Fun movie, if you enjoy these actors.
This is great movie about an event that occurred in 1943, and remained classified under the British Official Secrets Act until 1978. Although no doubt some liberties were taken to enhance the story, the fact remains that the truth is usually more entertaining and bawdy than fiction!

Based on a true story (honestly) and an interesting side story of WW II. Unfortunately the movie suffers from Roger Moore as Roger Moore and a bad English accent from his Boss. However the supporting cast of vintage Brit stars are good and the whole thing makes a good trip to the movies. Read the original book - Last charge of the Calcuta Light Horse - after you see the film.
This is a movie for fans of the genre (70's british action with big name stars). I'm a Roger Moore fan so I felt compelled to buy it. The story and overall philosophy of the film is pretty outdated and has an old british arrogance about it that hasn't aged too well but Roger is as always charismatic and carries his part well.
