In the first segment, Bear gives us a tour of his big blue house and we meet all of the characters (Bear, Ojo the little bear, Tutter the mouse, Pip and Pop the otters, Treelo the lemur, Shadow, and Luna the moon). In the second segment, Bear gets the mail and passes it out to the various members of the house. Both segments are good, neither better nor worse than the other episodes we have, volumes 5 (colors and shapes) and 7 (birthday parties). Overall all of the episodes we have seen are good and the show is very sweet. My daughter loves Bear in the Big Blue House, especially Tutter the mouse and Luna the moon. I don't think she would mind if we watched the same video over and over; having three videos is for my own sanity. Be warned: the songs are very catchy and quickly become ear worms. I get distracted watching Bear because I start wondering about how heavy and hot that bear suit must be, and how the puppeteering is done. Only one hand (his left) moves, the other being attached to it via an almost invisible string, and I find myself watching that a lot. I don't particularly like the Shadow segments, I think they could be better done. But obviously it's not made for adults; the content is good and my daughter really loves it.Read full review
