the movie itself was a disappointment
For what it is, and from that time, it's a very interesting film, and well acted - but the characterizations in the story itself are rather over the top romanticized and melodramatic. I'd been wanting to see this movie for decades, having heard the barest bones of the story, because the concept of Death removing himself from his "duties" and people not being -able- to die is so amazing - BUT there's hardly anything about -that- in the story! - weird, to me. (The VHS tape came very quickly, well packaged, and was a decent deal - so -that- was great!)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
