A few years again, I had watched a snip of Gulliver's Travels on television. It was well directed, and although a tad long, well worth the time spent watching it. I wanted to see the entire film, so I purchased it. If you like a great fiction story, that will hold your attention, and take quirky turns, this is it! A few of the actors/actresses are as follows: Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen, Peter O'Toole and James Fox. The plot line begins with Danson as a doctor in the 18th century. He takes a trip that lasts 8 years. When he comes home, his tale is that of a madman! According to the good doctor, he was a giant in the land of Lilliput, then later becomes the "pocket-sized" pet in the land of the giants. The Hallmark prodution is a most excellent film to have in your family library. (rated pg)Read full review
J.swift wrote this satire almost in the same time when Daniel Defoe wrote his R.Cruzo , but there is a big difference between the two witers. The Swift satire can be reviewd into two different aspects : Gulliver symblize the power of the "civilized eurpeans"!! and on the other side he showed the power of weak nations if they unite and hold fest on discipline and order . These two controversial aspects make Swift's sotory unique in every aspect. Dr. Mohd saffarini
Like new, overall the best version of Gulliver's Travels, since the other 2 were total flops or sucked(you have a lot to answer for, Jack Black), also, this movie involves all four volumes of Gulliver's travels, so you get the full story and not just Lilliput
