Really good Harrison Ford movie. Once again he resurrects the role of Ex-CIA agent Jack Ryan when he intervenes and saves the lives of an English Minister to Northern Ireland and his family in a terrorist attack. Ford kills one of the terrorist and inadvertently becomes a target. The terrorist have sworn revenge on him and his family. Returning to the United States, attempts are made on his wife and child.Unable to rely on anyone else, Ryan knows that he alone can protect them and sets about to do that. Anne Archer plays Ryan's wife and does a great job. The last thirty minutes of this film will keep you on the edge of your seat. Very enjoyable film.
I love Harrison Ford, Anne Archer, James Earl Jones, and writer Tom Clancy. This film keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through. Here black is really black and white is white. Although the world is not really quite so simple, such a view makes an entertaining movie. Although Harrison Ford has a cute little daughter here, this film is not for kids. It is complicated, frightening, and in one brief moment, gruesome. But you can sweat off the stress of a week on the edge of your seat in the last half hour of this one@
I have been a fan of Harrison Ford for a long time and I have never seen a bad movie in which he stared. This one is no exception, a good thriller. The pace is rapid fire and although there are just to many close calls, the plot works. Quite a political statement also and exposes the mindset of the rabid political activist in today's world. Perhaps to true to be called fiction.
