Todd Snider - An artist who should have gotten more airplay
I ran across a CD a friend sent me a few years back, a different CD by Todd Snider than Songs For the Daily Planet. I almost tossed it, but decided to give it a listen. I was amazed by Todd's heartfelt lyrics, and decided to find more of his CDs, among them Songs For the Daily Planet. This CD also has some great songs, and proved once again to me that a lot of great music from the past just never got the recognition it deserved (among them Brewer & Shipley, Batdorf & Rodney, Smokie, etc. etc.). I actually seek out music from the past that I never got a chance to hear on Top 40 radio, and more often than not I find great artists who in my opinion never got the airplay they deserved. Todd Snider is one of these artists. I now have four of his CDs, and there are great songs on each of them. Sure, I don't love every song, but I can tell you that his songs are worth a listen......

Glad to have Todd and his points of view back in my collection, always entertaining. He's great at adding humor to everyday happenings, and can also open your eyes to what lies beneath those things we take for granted.
