The Guardian (1990) directed by William Friedkin. A young couple with a newborn baby doesn't realize that the nanny they hired is a magical nymph who sacrifices infants to an evil tree. Product Information

A handsome young couple (Brown and Lowell) moves from an apartment in Chicago to a spacious home on the edge of a forest in Los Angeles. Fortunately, for their newborn child, they also find the perfect live-in baby sitter (Seagrove). It all seems like a fairy tale, until it becomes apparent that the attractive English nanny is revealed to have a very strange relationship with a large tree in the forest. It isn't long before ancient supernatural forces turn the couple's dream into a nightmare, and they begin to battle the nanny for the child's soul.

    "the guardian" absolutly fantastic film

    as a horror movie fan and a open minded film viewer i have seen them all i will say plot is very important to me aswell as special effects and make up. not often do i see a film that delivers great acting believable special effects and make up and delivers a original plot this film is all there it rely delivers like most films cannot i highly recomend it to horror fans and thriller/ mystery fans alike ..this is one outstanding one hit wounder!!!
