What I like about this CD is David Lee Roth's style. His voice is sometimes raw; like being shocked by an eel. At other times it is a blend of smokey jazz and blues. For example, on Tell the Truth, his voice is so smooth you can hear every breath, every note sang and polished to slide down your throat so you can take it all in. On the track, It's Showtime, the stagemeister returns with a vengeance. You can see him prancing onstage in a tophat inviting you to partake of his brand of insanity. I have been a fan since Van Halen 1 and will continue to be a DLR fan forever. It is a good CD, yet not long enough for my tastes. I would rate this on a scale, but the vocal stylings on Tell the Truth, it would be well above a 10. I set the cd on repeat and listen to it for hours on end. It's great, the price was very reasonable, the arrival of this CD on my doorstep made me absolutely giddy, and it goes so well with my posters of DLR.Read full review
One of his best solo releases still got that Van Halen feel to it

I'd looked in several stores and could not find it. I know it is becoming a rarity and knew I would have to settle for a used copy. Fortunately, the music quality was excellent.

Too bad for DLR and the rest of the world JAson Becker fell ill during the recording. Browse around for his work. Great guitar player, a real virtuoso...
