Caravanserai in my opinion is the best album Santana ever did, because it is pure inspiration from start to finish. Although I love all his work , for some reason in this one he brought many of his themes into extreme focus and managed to keep the intense high feeling going throughout, without any of his aberrations that mar most of the others. As I write this I am listening to Abraxas[one of his earlier albums]. Suddenly he goes from subliminal guitar into a harsh track called 'Is that you'. This is what I mean about his inconsistency. Then it's into some tribal drumming with no great stuff happening. But not so on Caravanserai. This one is on a high the whole way through. When it stops you have to play it again immediately at least once. I'm so happy to have it again as the last time I had a copy was in 1972. I can highly recommend it for very good feeling music.Read full review
The jazziest album of the Santana series. It made me wanna move to San Francisco in 1982 - the crickets!! Enjoy one of Carlos' best.

a classic album that never grows old, i first heard this album back in high school,(gulp)30 yr's ago, as time passed and many moves later i lost the old vinyl LP, but the the haunting melody always stayed with me, i found myself humming the tunes in my head, i looked for the cd in various music stores and had no luck, then i tried ebay, sure enough it was there and as a bonus,a re-mastered edition was made, i threw it in my cd player as soon as i got it, it was as i heard it for the first time, every song blends into the next, the fusion of jazz and rock was unprecedented, it's hard to belive this was released in the early 70's, if your a fan of santana,or fusion rock/jazz you must buy this album, you won't be disapointed
Superior sound to the original 1980's release

Quite a departure from Santana's first three terrific albums comes this huge bag of nothing. Beginning on a boring start, this thing barely gets going. A little life comes along with "Future Primitive" and "Stone Flower." but it is far too late to save this bomb. I don't know what Santana was trying to prove here. Perhaps Carlos was attempting to create an album to sleep by. I like the album cover, but the insides are pure dreck.
One of my favorite albums, one of Carlos' most passionate works.Great for traveling across the desert at night. "Song of the wind" rivals anything put out by the old masters. enjoy
I absolutely love "Stone Flower". This is Santana at it's highs, after "Santana III". This back in the Neal Schon days.
CD good quality. Thank for making it available its my second copy.
