This compilation album is probably the first one The Alan Parsons Project used, and it certainly is loaded with great singles from as far back as their landmark album "I Robot". With this album comes some of the better singles from their earlier recordings, but what it fails to do is bring forth a few of the hit singles from their debut album "Tales of Mystery and Imagination - Edgar Allan Poe". But I still love the well crafted tracks that are on this compilation, and the reason I bought this album was to complete my Alan Parsons Project library, and this compliments it fantastically. If I were to listen to any album in The Alan Parsons Project library, it would be the compilation albums. The reason I say that, is because a compilation album tells the listener more about the group, or solo artist, than any other of the albums that group, or solo artist, has. Thus my reason for purchasing this album. However, it also makes a great addition to my iTunes library as well. Hope this review helps someone out. Regards, Craig L.Read full review
For the longest time, my only experience with The Alan Parsons project was with the albums "Eye In The Sky and The Turn Of A Friendly Card. I liked them both very much, particularly TTOAFC, but have recently started acquiring the other releases. While listening to this, I was surprised at how many songs I had already heard and not necessarily knew they were by The Alan Parsons Project. As you may know, Alan Parsons was the engineer for Pink Floyd's Dark Sound Of The Moon, one of the best sounding albums ever, so you know his releases will sound pretty good. This particular CD is an early pressing made in Japan. I have nothing to compare it to, but this version sounds great. The good thing is that it can be found for a very low price nowadays as there are other more comprehensive compilations out there. It's a bit on the short side, but all the early hits are here. My experience is that this CD makes for a very enjoyable listen; great for the commute!Read full review

As I may have implied in my past reviews, my taste in music is ecumenical. What impresses my soul of rock (in this case) was the honesty of the words, making points without the angry backup sound and a spiritual union I have that draws me to ANY type of music A-Z. Rock music died in the early 2000's and is replaced with the "oop-boop" bubble-gum drivel of the early 1960's, before it was acceptable to express deep meaning in musical lyrics. It's hard to describe how I feel about this "new" music, except to say that it's all about profit and sedating the minds of the new generation which, along with the the Hollywood industry, encourages young people to just spend their money and not to think (especially independently). Let us not squash what the new generation wants to say which will help the past and future generations. William CurtoRead full review
