Long before Willie Nelson rocketed to fame as a country superstar, he was know primarily as a songwriter. This is an outstanding, surprising collection of his early work, and some of the songs he has written for others may surprise you. Everyone knew he wrong "Crazy" which was a huge hit for Patsy Cline, but Willie also wrote such classics "Nite Life", "Funny How Time Slips Away" and Faron Young's biggest hit, "Hello Walls". This collection is fairly well annotated and comes at a bargain price. Any Willie fans should definitely have this in their collection.
This was a gift. She loves it.

Willie Nelson's early attempt to break into the Nashville scene is some of his best in my opinon. With songs like "Hello there" and "Touch me" one has to wonder why Willie did not achieve fame earlier in his career. This collection is a must have in my opinion for the Willie Nelson fan. A+
