Review is from someone who had read the Spiderman comics and who has watched the cartoons in the past. When compared to the first Spiderman movie, the action scenes are much, much better; however, the storyline of the original is just a little bit better. Therefore, Spiderman 2 is much better overall than the first. Upsides: This movie probably has the best fight/action sequences of any sci-fi movie that you'll ever see, even beating or seriously rivaling Blade 1; you be the judge! His very, very tough life, juggling romance, making ends meet, and crime fighting (where he works probono & it constantly makes him late for all important engagements) will undoubtedly make you pity the mild-mannered web slinger. These combined pitfalls are what has made Spiderman a fan favorite over the years and this movie has them, even more so than the original. Not only that, this movie "dusts off" an old foe that Spiderman can't physically stop, but he has to mentally/diplomatically outwit the very intelligent Doc Oct. Spiderman has limited powers and basically no resources and so things don't come easy for him at all and to me that's what makes Spiderman a cut above Superman(is almost invincible and has a good, steady income/resources) or Batman(has no powers, but is rich and has unlimited resoures) Hence, Superman and Batman are more for rich people, while Spiderman is more for ordinary everyday Americans. Spiderman/Peter Parker is real and not surreal like alot of superheroes; check it out; you can relate to him! Bring on Spiderman 3! Now, the only Drawback in a otherwise super movie- The part of the movie that doesn't add up is when Spiderman gives up being a superhero. In the Movie: When Spiderman gives up crime fighting, he automatically loses his superabilities - evident is when he has to put on his glasses to be able to see straight. There's no way that just because you decide not to put on a costume, you automatically lose your powers! That's what happened to Spiderman; just because he decided he wanted to live a regular life, poof- his powers were gone! He gained his powers from a radioactive spider, which in turn gave him radioactive blood and that can't be changed by thinking, "Today, I don't want to be Spiderman anymore!" He was supposed to keep his powers, even though he decided to quit and not use them. Maybe over time, he was supposed to get rusty, but practice and training was supposed to restore his abilities again! Only a blood transfusion or blood disorder could cause him to totally lose his powers like he did and even then it would be a little bit harder to regain them(if he could even regain them at all)!Read full review
Good movie for superhero lovers. It includes how they developed the game, based on the movie adaptation and the extra contents in the 2nd disc. Came in brand new condition and i recommend everyone to collect the whole movie. Worth it.

Spiderman is such a lovable and very normal superhero that any geek, outcast, or weirdo can relate too. The one that has large dreams, loads of smarts and potential and no real chance to pursue them. It's just a great movie to continue from the first spiderman. The main question is, will he ever get Mary Jane? Will they ever hook up and marry? You watch to find out.
Need to see Spider-man before this one. Is about a boy who was bit by a spider and obtained spider like characteristic and powers/abilities. He uses these powers to save the world from harm done by bad villens and in the meantime falls in love with a girl. this movie is a continuation of this story as she revealed his secret of who he has became from spiderman 1. hope this helps.
