In 1998 the Mongols were one of the most dangerous motorcycle gangs in America. They were hated even by the Hells Angels. The two MCs were mortal enemies but no one was able to bring down the Mongols, except for one bearded, beer drinking, Harley riding law enforcement agent by the name of William Queen. To the Mongols SFV Chapter and the whole Mongol Nation he was known a Billy St. John who became a Full Patch Member of this society. Like Joe Pistone aka Donnie Brasco, this man gave his all to this assignment. I really thought this book was very good reading. There is alot of action, and you take the ride with Queen all the way. With all the trials and tribulations that the Mongols put Billy through it really makes you wonder how he ever came out of this alive. On the New York Times Bestseller List this book is definitely one you should read. All I have to say is MCs Beware !! Queen might just be in one of your chapters right now !! This book recently bacame topic of conversation af the department I work at and I had to read about the acts for myself. It was truely sad what this man had to give up for our life to be a little easier. What this man had to endure was unlike anything I've ever heard, (but I'm just a country girl) William McQueen probably wouldn't agree with me when I say this, but I believe he was/is one of the luckiest men I've heard of. The situation he put himself in could have turned so bad so many times and he was able to keep his cool throughout all the torture and humiliation that he endured.
This is one of the most incredible books I have ever read. Bill Queen takes you on the ride of your life. You experience every day right along with him. The only bad thing about this book is that it is too short. I finished reading this book in 2 days. You go undercover with him, ride with him, drink with him and feel the fear and frustration he felt. His writing style makes you feel like you are sitting in a bar with him listening to him tell his story. Truly amazing book about a real American Hero.
Great read. Gives insight into the workings of the ATF undercover job and life in a 1% MC.
