This DVD release pairs up two obscure 1980's horror efforts:THE PIT (1981) - A put-upon pre-teen boy with social problems finds his means to revenge when he happens upon a pit in the forest filled with hungry troll-like creatures. HELLGATE (1989) - A group of college kids travel to the ghost town of Hellgate to find out the truth about a young woman who was murdered by a motorcycle gang in the 1950's. There, they are greeted by ghosts and reanimated corpses. Ron Palillo (Welcome Back, Kotter) stars.

    Two tails of horror!

    Now here's a double dose of horror... A double feature on a two-sided disc. Both features are '80s horror classics. This is a rare treat. "The pit" and "Hell gate" have some pretty good special effects. So if you haven't seen them, check them both out. You may like them.
