I hope Vinnie Mac bought a few hundred copies of the book to be given to WWE employees and maybe he might not repeat what killed WCW. The Death of WCW is the best wrestling book I’ve read lately even though it is still hard to remember that WCW was once the number one wrestling promotion in the world. And they say “wrestling is fake”.

If you ever watched WCW programming, you should really pick up this book. The authors are very specific and knowledgable, and even though I only watched WCW for three or four years, I could remember quite a few of the events that were talked about in this book. I found myself laughing out loud many different times. It is amazing that the events in this book actually took place, and as a fan of the wrestling being talked about, I found myself totally taken in. Read this book!!!! Tony Schiavone says, "This is the greatest book in the history of wrestling!"
The Death of WCW was very interesting reading, being a long time fan of TBS Superstation from the early 80's through 2001 when WCW finally ended, this book gives a different side of how things operated during the Eric Bischoff's time period. compared to Eric Bischoff's Controversy Creates Cash, this book gives more of what went wrong and how things spiraled out of downward. If you are a fan of WCW and the old Georgia Championship Wrestling, this is one book I do recommend.
Interesting read but clearly written through the prism of dirt sheet stories and not necessarily the facts.

If you followed the Monday Night Wars closely like I did and/or were a WCW fan like I was, you'd certainly love this book. Basically, the history of WCW is described and of course from their rise to the top and the 83 week ratings streak over Raw along with their collapse due to various reasons from not pushing a majority of their talented roster to just plain lousy booking by Kevin Nash. Reading this made me remember the time when wrestling was more than just a soap opera like WWE is now.
