I Now Know WHO this man, George Washington, really was. AMAZING book!!! A Favorite and a Keeper. Inspiring, interesting, great reading, enlightening, powerful- I could not put it down. So well written, not just a history of the man and his time. An extremely readable biography.
George Washington was a much more complex character than we were led to believe in high school. This excellent biography reveals the man as he was, warts and all! It illustrates his increasing frustration with the British government and their completely unrealistic plans for the land west of the Allegheny mountains.
