This is a game that I have been obsessed with ever since I played it as a kid over 10 years ago. The music is great, the characters are enjoyable and the levels are frustrating enough to make you want to keep trying but not frustrating enough to make you give up, at least in my opinion. This is a classic game that everyone should try at least once.

The copy i recieved seems to have a frequent issue where the music in a stage will cut out after a short period of time. This consistently happens every time i spend too long on a single stage.

If you liked Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 for GameCube, then you'll love this game. It has all the levels of 1(114) & 2(149), plus 47 original levels, totaling 310 levels! It's basically the same game, but with more levels. The downside I felt however, was that the PS2 version was not up to the same standards as the GameCube versions. The graphics are a little choppy, not as crisp, and the sound quality is somewhat poor (i.e. the noise made when crossing the goal). The game does not transition smoothly either. Each time you finish a level, the screen turns black, and the music pauses unlike the GameCube versions which would play more smoothly (music would transition through break points, etc.). There's also a delay when you hit the retry button in Story Mode. I think that these quality issues mainly apply to the PS2 version (Older Gen, less powerful), not the Xbox (Just as good as GameCube), though I haven't tried it. Lots of single player levels (which are excellent and quite difficult), but multiplayer party games are even more fun! Grab some friends, a multitap (so that you can play with up to four players instead of just two) and have a great time with monkey target as you try to guide a monkey in a see-through ball and land him/her on top of an island. Great fun! There are many other multiplayer mini-games to explore such as baseball and a cool boxing mini-game too. Very reminiscent of the original Gamecube versions. Avoid the Super Monkey Ball Adventure game for PS2 as it isn't very good at all. However, this one (Deluxe) is excellent. Highly recommended and very addictive gameplay.
This is a great game to play. I enjoyed it ever since I played the GameCube ones and loved them, now all the levels from the first 2 games are on one disc. My only complaint would be the graphics and the bad audio but this is still a great game for anyone to enjoy.

When my brother moved out, he took his copy with him—a game that I have long loved, not for the main game mode, but for the very fun party games. Monkey billiards taught me how to play, monkey race was to me what Mario Kart is to some, monkey target was fun and challenging, monkey punch is chaotic fun, and monkey golf is mostly about who can fail the least. It’s good to have you back in my collection, Super Monkey Ball Deluxe.

I played this a couple years ago on Gamecube and forgot about it until I bought another type of Monkey Game for PS2 and I just had to have it. It is so fun and it can even be a party game, have teams (whatever). Anyone can enjoy this game if your looking for a fun, challenging (non-violent) activity. This game and Crash Bandicoot are the best type of video games. I give this 2 thumbs up. :)

Super Monkey Ball Deluxe collects all the levels from all the other super monkey ball games and combines them into this 1 game. They also have added 50 brand new levels to go with the other 250 so there's a total of 300 levels on this game! If your looking for something new from the other game's you wont find it here but if your looking for tons and tons of super monkey ball madness and levels then this is the right game for you!
