Batman: Gotham City Racer puts players in the role of Batman and lets them get behind the wheel of his custom vehicles such as the Batmobile and the Batcycle through 51 episode-based missions. The look of the game is based on the animated series rather than the comic book or movies. Arkham Asylum's security has let Batman down once again as a number of major criminals have escaped and are back on the streets of Gotham City. Players will have to scour the city in search of Penguin, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, the Riddler, and Joker. <br><br>In Patrol Mode users can cruise around Gotham City fighting crime as Batman, Nightwing, or Batgirl. The game follows The New Adventures of Batman and Robin the cartoon series. The player can be a hero fighting crime at night, or a villain that causes havoc in the city. The player chooses a character from the show and drives althoughout Gotham City. If the player chooses to be a hero, (Batman, Nightwing, or Batgirl) then the player drives throughout the city to find the villain that is causing havoc. If the player chooses to be a villain, (Joker, The Penguin, Posion Ivy, Two-Face, Scarcrow, Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, The Riddler, or The Mad Hatter) then the player drives throughout the city wreaking havoc.
