The steering wheel would not fit on the shaft because there were 45 splines on the product sent and only 40 splines on the original stock x324 steering shaft. To make it work I had to cut the stock end with 40 splines and weld it to the new shaft so the stock steering wheel would fit on the new steering shaft. It would have cost me more to return it that it cost me to fix it so it would work. There is no excuse for the splines on the new steering shaft to be cut with the wrong number of splines.
I also had to mill the shaft because the shaft where it had been welded to the nine tooth sprocket would not go thru the stock bushings (there are two) even though the bushings had wear from 17 years of use.
Vendors quality control is terrible.
