Easy times in the 1950's
Not a "blast from the past ", more a gentle reminder of how things were then - great for anyone who loves jazz,rock n' roll & gospel singing - did Chuck Berry imagine what would be to come after this early rendition of Jonny B.Goode ? Close the blinds , open a bottle of wine , relax & imagine you are there for this enjoyable day out at the festival - it's all there - good music , fun , people watching , dancing !! - get the tissues out for Mahalia Jackson's emotional ending with the Lords Prayer. To date I have bought copies for birthdays ( both over 70's ) for two friends who love it and,like myself,take it out of the cupboard now & again to get that "feel good" factor. What's not to like ?
