This card issue was originally distributed in a blister pack with a color booklet that had pictures/highlights of these players. Score released similar sets from 1989 to 1992. Two sets each year. One basically with veterans and one with rookies. The 1989 sets were called Hottest 100 Superstars and Hottest 100 Rookies. The 1990 to 1992 sets were called 100 Superstars and 100 Rising Stars. Typically distributed in retail stores such as Wal-Mart and book outlets rather than by card dealers. .
