Great player, I will try to get a more suitable remote programmed.
Cheap, they all are in these days of Blue Ray and Streaming. Initial set up and begin playing a DVD is easy -- but the player is seriously let down by the size and complexity of the remote control. Too many buttons, too many options, squeezed into too small a face with very small labeling. OK for those with nimble, little, fingers and good eyesight -- particularly in low light. But I will master it since a DVD player is all I wanted actually. Might try the USB option one day since I have lots of stuff on them. It does seem to substantially upgrade the image quality of old analogue movies and newsreels digitised and re-issued on DVD via the HDMI connection which is a great feature.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A CHEAP BUT GOOD DVD PLAYER!!
I bought the unit, so when we go on holidays, we can take it with us, to keep us entertained at night time... The dvd player is easy to use,but you need to spend time with it, to be aware of what the functions are, and how to get out of them...Simple point and play menue,unless you use the reverse and fast forward functions, then it gets a little tricky... A must have for a home threater application without a DVD installed in that system and the USB port is a bonus
I am impressed with this DVD unit, it is well designed and easy to incorporate into my home theater system. The movie reproduction is amazing but my main application is to play music Cd's and it does that with surprising sound production.
