The years just prior to World War 2, America was celebrating and enjoying the musical "GOLDEN ERA" as ushered in by the MGM studios. Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney would go on to make a handful of successful movie musicals for many studios but by far the films they made for the Arthur Freed Unit at MGM were amoung their best. This film Babes In Arms gives the audience a good feel for the optomism that was sweeping the country at the time, the film was also fortunatly to have the one and only Busby Berkley providing the direction for the dance numbers. A CLASSIC YOU CAN WATCH TODAY WITH YOUR KIDS!
One of the best of Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. Captivating and entertaining, lots of singing, dancing, and comedy. Highly Recommended if you like clean wholesome family film.
