Queen's performance at Live Aid in 1985 eclipsed every other act on the bill and revitalised their career (not that they had been unsuccessful prior to it). This concert at Wembley Stadium the following year is another incendiary performance showcasing a good selection of their hit singles including 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'Another One Bites The Dust', 'Radio Ga Ga', 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love', 'One Vision' and 'We Are The Champions' among others. It also features the David Bowie collaboration 'Under Pressure', an accoustic medley of cover versions and a few pleasant surprises (such as 'In The Lap Of The Gods' from 1974s 'Sheer Heart Attack' album). Freddie Mercury has to be one of the most exuberant and charismatic performing artists ever, and although I don't like all the tracks on this album the only real sour point for me is when Freddie announces to the audience that 'Queen will stay together until they f**king well die', which was to prove horribly prophetic. Sadly I have to admit that while I liked Queen's 1970s output, some of their 1980s material (such as, for example 'Friends Will Be Friends') made me wince at the time. It wasn't until the Freddie Mercury tribute concert following his death in 1991, when a procession of performers attempted to sing his songs, that I truly realised what a great singer/performer he was (my respect for George Michael as a singer increased from none to lots during this show as well). If you own no Queen albums you could do much worse than this one. Lots of great music played with vitality at a show where the audience are obviously loving every minute of it. RIP Freddie.Read full review
Queen is without a doubt one of the greatest bands of all time! I've been looking for this Cd for as long as I can remember. I highly recommend it to friends, fans and anybody who appreciates great music. Bohemian rhapsody on this cd just gives me the goosebumps. The energy, the people takes this performance to another level. Sounds amazing on my car stereo. And as a collector of memorabilia I couldn't be happier.

This is one Awsome 2 CD Set. I have the DVD of this concert too. Freddy is at his best here. The only other DVD and Cd Set that comes close to this is Freddy Mercury's Cool Performance at Live Aid !! He to me is one very missed artist. As their is no other like him. Never had a singing lesson in his life.Composed intricate music ( If you can read music you will see the awsome combination he puts together. On This CD their are 2 songs that are well worth hearing. 1. Is This The World We Created 2. Another one Bites The Dust Ofcourse their is Bohemian Rhapsody, Hammer To Fall , ... and much more. This is a must for any Queen or Freddy Mercury Fan. I can listen to it over and over.. God Bless Freddy for leaving us with so much Awsome music and much more...
