IF you like HISTORY, and wonder what it was like to live in a certain era...
This is a great produciton! I love these reality shows where modern folks get to experience times gone by. I have now seen most of those the BBC (presented on PBS) have put out. This one is not particularly 'happy,' but it certainly enlightens us on how our ancestors lived their lives, esp. if we didn't come from the elite or wealthy (that's another series: Manor House!). But the people who chose to be involved help the rest of us envision what it was truly like (except even then, they didn't have to deal with toxic chemical because it isn't allowed in the modern times for filming). So close to what it was like. I would recommend this for home schooling families/history buffs/descendants of British people from the 1860-1900 in London.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
