Opened the box and pulled it out to look at it and it looks brand new, with no scratches. I'm not going to put oil in it or fuel and crank it till I need it. Don't want the carb to get clogged with the fuel we have these days. The generator for the price I got it at is excellent by far. Wished it would have had the parallel wiring kit, oil, and funnel. I have oil and a funnel but the wiring would have made it 5 stars.

The generator looks nice and has many features. I took a chance on the refurb considering that eBay guaranteed it in as new condition. The generator arrived with a damaged on/off switch. It was still barely function but twisted and bent to the side. Another 5 more uses the switch would have ejected and/or stopped working. Additionally the generator was heavily scuffed and dirty. Looked like they didn't even wipe clean the unit before sending. I tested the generator and noticed that the engine kept revving up and down while idling. Not sure how this unit passed a certified refurbished inspection. I returned and purchased another in hopes that this was just a unit that wasn't inspected.

So it's not brand new. It also didn't carry the price tag for brand new. The only mark on the exterior of mine is a small scuff on the bottom corner. Who cares... I suspect this one was a weekend rental - buy it, use it for the weekend trip, return it as "broken". The box contained just the generator and the manual. No spark plug wrench, no oil, no big deal (it's stuff that I already have). 4 pulls and it started right up. Be mindful of where you put it when it's running. The air intake is on the bottom, so it could suck up dirt, sand, etc into the air box. Run it on a clean dry surface, and check the air cleaner regularly. It's not a show stopper, just something to watch out for. The only thing I dislike about this generator is that it has a single 5-20R (standard) 120V outlet (2 would be better). The L5-30R (twist lock) is nice for parallel operation when you need the full power capability of the parallel set (3200W, 26A) for a single load. My limited testing included 1000 watts of work lights, and a small window A/C (not at the same time). The lights were no problem - a static and purely resistive load. The A/C made the generator work, especially as the compressor kicked on. Once the compressor was running, the generator settled in and just hummed along. Overall, this is a great value. I have had nothing but good luck with anything I have purchased as factory refurb'd. This is no exception.Read full review

This firman inverter generator is pretty good. Can't give it 5 star because its too noisy. Inverter was supposed to be quiet but not this one. I noticed it was a refurbished item but it gets the job done. The gas last a long time and it has an economy buttom in case you need to use it for a lighter item. It was at a good price with with fast shipping.

Generator arrived earlier than expected and was packed very well. It's refurbished but looks like brand new with the manual included. Filled it with oil and gas and fired it up. Started easily and it's so quiet compared to other generators I've owned especially in eco mode. Was surprised it took the load of a 8000 BTU air conditioner in eco mode without shutting down. Specs say it's 54 lbs but it feels lighter than that and is very easy to move around where you need it. Reliability over time is the true test of a generator but as of now I'm very impressed with this little generator and since this seller is a certified factory refurbisher, it comes with a 2 year repair or replacement warranty.
