My all time favorite.....
This became my all time favorite movie when I first saw it at the local theater way back in the last century! I have seen it countless times since and almost every time I notice something new. I still have my worn VHS copy but since my VCR died of old age I have been going into 2001 ASO withdrawal! A 'Top Ten' movie - a true classic!
I recently attended a short lecture by an expert of the cinema - Marc Lapadula / Yale University. His topic was The Three Greatest Films in American Cinema and 2001: a space odyssey is one. This reintroduced me to the great film that I realized wasn't in my library and I had to have it and watch it again.
