A shining example of what Pilot can do when they take care.
This is my second capless LS. I would not buy the second if the first did not impress me. This is a hefty pen but very comfortable in my hand. The silent nature makes this a great pen for classrooms and boardrooms. The nib assembly is interchangeable with all the vp pens which is great news since if you don't like the nib you get or damage the nib a replacement is easy to obtain. i would have preferred a black nib but I have a couple so not a big deal. The texture keeps the pen from sliding up your grip when you write. These nibs are usually well tuned so nothing more than popping in a cartridge (do not use the converter as it doesn't hold enough ink. use your preferred ink to refill the cartridge) and writing. This stylish pen looks great in a shirt pocket but I use a rickshaw case to protect my pens and this fits just great in one. I would take the capless LS over the other vp's and decimo's in my collection. The redesigned clip makes a world of difference. It does not get in the way as the vp and decimo clip does. I think Pilot should price this $50 above the current vp and discontinue the vp/decimo lines. I would absolutely buy a decimo version of this pen if it appeared.
i already love this pen. i have been hearing good things about the pilot capless (vanishing point) for a long time and when i found this great deal on the ls—which i think looks better and like the new retraction method—i jumped on it. as with all the pilot pens i have owned the build quality is excellent, the design is stunningly beautiful, and the performance is outstanding.
i got this pen because i wanted a pen that i could more easily take quick notes with; open it, write, close it. uncapping and capping my other pens, screw or click, was just too cumbersome to jot notes quickly in meetings and such. the pilot capless (vanishing point) did not disappoint.
Solid build, smooth ink flow. The push/swipe mechanism is awesome.
Don't think this is another capless variant, treat it as another premium product. The Cons is smaller ink capacity, especially with con-40 converter, And the clip is super tight.
