A great repair part, at an excellent price
Identical replacement unit for my Maytag MZD2766GEB reefer. For those that might be trying to fix their reefer, noted one thing in the trouble shooting of the defrost circuit. My old module, when you turn on the reefer with the freezer temp control, the compressor came on immediately. With this new module, you get a click, then the compressor comes on indicating to me that the missing click in the old module was probably a tell tale sign that the relay on its circuit board had its contacts welded in on position, would never go to defrost like that. The defrost heater element read 22 ohms, and it was good. The defrost thermostat is marked in the temp it closes, mine was I think, 22 degrees, and the open temp was 38. If your freezer is below your stats close temp, you should read continuity across the stat, if you don't it is bad or not cold enough. If it does read, let it heat up until it clicks and it should read open. This circuit boards relay opens the neutral line to the compressor and it stops running, and puts the neutral on the defrost coll to let it heat. If coll and defrost stat are good, buy one of these modules from this seller.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
