Plastic made to look heavy duty!
I was exceptionally dissatisfied with this peeler. I expected it to be similiar to the Titan peeler (as there isn't much cost difference as you get two peelers with the Titan for $12 at my store. ) This is not metal. Its a heavy plastic. The top of the peeler is not very sturdy and won't last through a 10 pound bag of potatos for the holidays. I would also be concerned for mishandeling as it's so flimsy that one could easy cut yourself as the top breaks. There is no way you can peel with this either way....like you should be able too.
