It's been about 14 years since I bought my last receiver. It was also an Onkyo but closer to the $800 range. The old one worked great, I guess I just got tired of it. The gentleman that I bought it from through Crutchfield said it would last forever, and he was correct because it still works great. With the included mike the setup was a breeze. I like the Simplicity of only having 5 speakers plus two subwoofers. Some say two subwoofers is overkill but I like it. If you find a better deal go for it, but I couldn't. I would definitely recommend this to anybody with a low-budget, but wants decent sound.
