C4 6 pinion Planetary Issues
At first sight this product looks great. On closer examination I found the following. The planet pins were above the surface where the thrust washer sits by varying amounts, up to almost .030". After machining the ends of the pins flush and assembling the transmission, I had still .045" end play with the thickest selective washer made. Checking the length of the planetary thru the hub, I found the length about .040" shorter than a stock planetary.
