Medical Terminology
I really like this book. Medical terminology really is like learning another language and this book makes the task much easier. Each chapter has sections that can be completed for practice with answers in the back of the book. There are really great illustrations, charts, diagrams,etc. that make learning less of a task. I bought this book as it is required for class (nursing program). There is also a really great c.d. that has games, vocabulary, and a flash card generator. I would recommend this book for anyone who desires to learn medical terminology. I will keep this book as I can see that I will use this as a reference tool once I have completed this class.

Medical Terminology
I bought this medical terminology book to teach a class at the school my kids go to. I had criteria a book had to have: ease to understand, make learning fun, and use of this book with grades 7-12. I found this book had all that and more. I looked at a wide variety of books via the Internet and found this one to be the best match for my use. One of my students wants to become a nurse and she asked me to find a book just like this one. Thankfully, I found an exact copy reasonably priced. I will now be tutoring her. As a nurse myself, I enjoyed the CD-Rom and the information being straight forward.

worth the purchase
This is an older edition that matches current edition just fine. It has been very helpful for class and all topics have been on point without filler. The book breaks down body systems section by section with each section having word break down, important vocabulary words listed as well as in bold print, and a reveiw and quiz section at the end. This text book is definitely worth the purchase.
