Speaking as a huge Niven fan, this latest addition to the Ringworld series wasn't The Greatest Book I've Ever Read, but it wast truly awesome just the same. If you've read the other three books, and want to learn even more about what the Ringworld is and why it's here (and how it got all messed up), you've got no excuse but to pick it up. If you haven't read the other three, GET EM. This is a fun ride right out the gate, but your head might explode if you attempt this book without a little back story (and probably miss out on some significant moments). My only real beef with Ringworld's Children is that it seems to have gone the route of all those over-the-top action movies, but only a little. There's some truly epic and bizarre science at work in it, and Niven just keeps ratcheting up the madness. You're again told the story through the eyes of Louis Wu, as he takes on familiar roles as well as new ones in what I consider to be the most mind-bendingly complex stories I've ever had the pleasure to read.Read full review

Ringworlds Children takes up where the Ringworld Throne left off. and once again Luis Wu is in the middle of everything going on. This exciting conclusion to the Ringworld series is filled with action, excitement and will entertain the reader from beginning to end. The book builds up to an exciting ending that will leave you wanting more. Ringworld's Children is a MUST for any Ringworld fan and after you read this book, run out and purchase, Fleet of Worlds, it will make everything you have read in the Ringworld books make more sense then you ever imagined.
