DURABLE, RELIABLE LITTLE LAPTOP -- THIS IS MY 4TH ONE!
This is the fourth  Apple Macbook Air 11 A1370 Laptop Mid-2011 that I've purchased. It's intended as a 2016 Christmas gift for a grandson. A granddaughter, a college student, has been using a previous one for several years with no problems. She likes it because of its portability -- a smaller size and light weight. I've personally been using the other two, one at each of my residences. One was purchased new; the other three were used. I use it mostly to stream Internet radio programs 24/7 to a low power whole-house FM transmitter, which allows me listen anywhere in the house via a small portable Sangean AM-FM radio. This is a very durable little laptop. I'm highly pleased with its performance. The 4GB of RAM is adequate for my needs. Though it's storage memory is only 128GB, I supplement this with an external 500GB hard drive, which easily plugs into the USB port. Plus, because it's main drive is an SSD, it's boot-up operation is quick. I would recommend this model of Apple laptop to anyone seeking a reliable machine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

3 Days of usage update.
Computer runs very smoothly and the exterior looks as though it came out of a box. The only cons of this device is that the screen is a bit wobbly. As in, the screen falls back by itself and having a case on the lid doesn't help because it weighs it down more. The other con is that the battery dies very quickly. It can only last 45 minutes off a charger with no audio playing and very dim brightness. Then again the device is 8 years old. For the price it could have been $30 cheaper.Last but not least, the device while charging becomes pretty warm/hot while my usb is plugged in. Great condition old OS system
The laptop alone was in great condition and running nicely. But the software of the OS system was super outdated and took me a while to figure out how to update it because it was not as simple as “system update” due to every time it saying there was no more updates but not having iMessage or photos. battery needs to be replaced after 2 months
battery needs to be replaced after 2 months other than the damage it came as advertised although the battery has now completely broken the laptop says its charging at 68% although it has not been plugged in for an hour. the cycle count now says 0 meaning the battery has broken and needs to be replaced.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
