Gets you close enough for final sight in with a red dot or other types of optics.

As long as you understand that is is designed to essentially to get you on paper at approx. 25 yards or so it is a good value. I believe that it is a little sensitive to potential damage when chambering and removing from the chamber due to its wiring being exposed however due care appears to work. Can not speak of its long term durability however I do remove the batteries when not in use for a week or so which I believe will help with its longevity.

Sight your rifle on a REAL target.

I have 3 of these 22 rifles. I sighted all three X hairs on the laser dot as per directions. In real life, all three were way off at 100 yds.!! I became suspicious when I had to adjust the scopes quite a bit from where I had them originally. I live in a "no shooting zone" so I thought this would save me physically shooting at a target and getting caught and fined. Can't put my finger why the laser bullet didn't do the job but I went back to sighting my rifles on a paper target bull's-eye. It's the real thing and what you see is what get.

  • Site-Rite Chamber Laser

Bought this to help bore sight a Marlin Model 60 that I had installed a scope on. Also used it on a Walther P22 that has a under rail laser on it. The SSI Cartridge fit snug in both new chambers with a strong enough laser to set up @ 25 yards. You have to becareful with the fine wires. With each gun viced I put a can next to them to set the battery pack on. Had no issues and was able to get the P22's laser and this laser to Co-witness, along with the fixed sights. Both were on paper just needing small adjustments. This SSI Sight Rite saved me time and money. It comes with a small storage sack but I won't use it. I don't think wadding it and the 2 fines wires in there would be a good ideal. Good sharp laser dot with a tight circle. Remember to not get the wires hung up on an extractor or Ejector when you ease the action closed. With the battery case supported and the laser on, note where your dot is. Repeat this a couple times so you know your laser dot is on the same spot. Pull the batteries out when your finished.

  • Gets the job done on a budget

Works pretty well...used it to sight in my aftermarket red dot reticle on my son's .22 pistol. I simply just lined up the red dot in the window of the sight with the red laser dot projected on the paper from the bore sighter. Very simple and quick and easy to use.The laser is just about bright enough to be seen easily on a light colored target up to around 50 feet. It's harder to see on the black of the bullseye, and very hard to see if trying to use beyond 25 yards because the laser isn't strong enough. Would not be good for sighting in a rifle at longer range, but great on pistols or rifles at close to medium range. It's fairly accurate, and will get your sight very close on target, but not 100% dead on...you'll have to spend $200 or more on one of those fancy high end laser sighters if you want to be exactly dead-on. So if you're a competition shooter, you need to spend the big bucks, but if you're like the other 95% of us, this will do just fine.

  • Great for sighting any 22 rifle or pistol

This thing here is just great , it makes sighting in your 22 caliber guns super easy and is very accurate, I used it to sight in a 22 pistol which didnt need any adjustments laser got it right on spot and 2 rifles a ruger 10/22 and a bolt action 22 , the ruger 10/22 was spot on no adjustments the bolt action was just a hair off to the left a 2 click adjustment, this laser works and does what it says , highly recommended

  • Red dot not crisp

Red dot has surrounding red laser images making it difficult to pinpoint. Might just be the .22 as it is too small for a battery so there is a pigtail with a power supply. Its not tight in the receiver. Just as easy to shoot for a start around the target and then sight in. Not worth any cost. I threw it away and sighted without it.

  • Does the job fine but a little tricky.

Worked okay, but the wire from the bore sighter to the battery box was a little short making it tricky to hold the battery box with the bore sight in the barrel at the same time.

  • 22 cartridge laser sighter

Works like it should. Just make sure its as well seated in the chamber as possible and ease the bolt forward so as to avoid extraction issues. If you see a halo around the dot, you’re not centered in the bore - just extract partially and re-seat until all you see is the dot.
