Oil Dickstick made to break
Seems like cheap steel. Bends real easy. Was almost bent completely in half to compress into a TOO SMALL envelope to ship cheaper. Has a cheesy plastic handle like the JUNK originals. Chinese JUNK. The integuity is compromised and prone to break at the Oring as the plastic is thinnest at that point leaving you unable to remove the dipstick without dropping your oil pan. What ever brain doner designed this thing must have had a masters degree on his wall. This dickstick is about two inches too short and has safe lever marks in wrong place.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The dipstick is well made however it is too long for this application (2006 Dodge Caravan 3.8 engine). I had to re calibrate it to be of any use. The original equipment manufacturer dipstick has better mark indicator oil level ADD, Blank Space, Max this one only indicator “SAFE”. If I were to do it over I would buy OEM. Poor Dorman product
As other reviewers stated, the dipstick was too long by over an inch. I swapped the handle to the original dipstick by knocking out the roll pin that attaches the handle to the stick. I checked Dorman's web site and they do list this part for my application, so it is not the fault of the seller that the part is of poor quality. The stick seemed flimsy, so I measured the thickness of the steel, and found that the original stick was .034", while the Dorman part was only .029", about 15 percent thinner metal. Once I put the handle on the original stick it worked fine. If you are not comfortable with swapping handles, buy the original equipment part.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
